Prior to working in industry full time, I was the Chair of Decision Theory and Behavioral Game Theory at the ETH Zürich and also the director of the Decision Science Laboratory (DeSciL). I taught classes including Behavioral Decision Theory, Experimental Game Theory, and Negotiation Analysis. I supervised Ph.D. students and post-doctoral researchers, and we had several different research streams related to behavioral decision theory and game theory. Research Awards
Anatol Rapoport Prize, 2014
The prize is awarded every two years by the Modeling and Simulation section of the German Sociological Society to recognize research excellence in a recent social science work using quantitative modeling and/or simulation. This was an award for a paper that grew out of my work on Social Value Orientation. The paper is titled "Reciprocity as an Individual Difference" and is focused on measuring reciprocal tendencies in people (Ackermann, Fleiss, & Murphy, 2014).
